Growing up in a not so stable environment needed some coping mechanisms so waking up to the sound of Hip-Hop & Rap in the morning and using it to go to sleep at night is one of the things that allowed Jordanian underground Hip-Hop & Rap artist to be set free from life’s problems.
"Most of the stuff I listened to was stuff I could relate to, and one day the listening turned into inspiration and I could not just listen, I had to grab a pen and start scribbling down my thoughts." Says MC Micro "It started out as a hobby but then slowly became my passion, my addiction and I could not get rid of writing down lyrics and I did not want to; it was my therapy.”
With encouragement and support from his family, at the early age of 10 years old, MC Micro found that this talent was no hobby; it was and is a gift from god, given to him to use, to make a difference in the world. Being from a Jordanian background would stand out in the current Hip Hop & Rap music scene, but determined to make his dreams a reality, and send out positive messages, MC Micro started rapping and people enjoyed it.
Due to circumstances beyond his control, MC Micro had to relocate to Jordan in 2004. "The hip-hop scene in Jordan, Well there was none! Hahaha" Says MC Micro. Dealing with the many obstacles of starting a career in Hip Hop & Rap in Jordan, he never gave up and continued to write and produce new songs.
The popularity of Hip-Hop music in Jordan and the Middle East was on the rise which opened the doors for Arabic Hip Hop artists to show case their talent. MC Micro saw his chance to break out on the scene. MC Micro is now one of Jordan's well-known MCs & Producers. MC Micro is now the crew leader of BAB (Bold Arabian Brothers), an underground Hip-Hop movement that has changed the way Jordanians look at Rap and Hip-Hop. There is a lot more to see from this group and MC Micro in the near future.
When MC Micro was asked the question what makes you different from some other underground rappers out there, his response was "Whether the rap is in English or Arabic, everyone tries to sound really complicated to look intelligent, yet I just sit back and say things the way I think of them, and don't really care if I sound intelligent or ignorant, but just want to state my beliefs".
