      • In 2010 I was able to interview Mia Gröndahl, Swedish photojournalist, who after seven years of photographing the art of graffiti in Gaza published her brilliant photo book Gaza Graffiti: Messages of Love and Politics. The book launch and signing was in Amman, at books@café, was part of The Festival of Alternative Arts that celebrated street culture like hip hop and urban art. I also interviewed Sami Abu Salem who helped Gröndahl with her photo investigation of the graffiti scene in Gaza. I worked as a journalist for 8 years at The Star weekly so it is rather hard to shake off the Clark Kent and Peter Parker in me (the dogged journalist). I hope you find it insightful and prompts you to get this valuable photo book that will take you to the colorful alleys of Gaza that are full of life and children.
